TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A Roanoke, Va., man died Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in southern Florence County. The 8:353 a.m. crash happened in the south-bound lanes at the 154 mile marker, according to a release from Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken. He identified the victim as Thomas A Merritt, 48. The crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, which hasn’t yet posted any information on the crash.
