Roanoke Police say a man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the 1700 block of Dupree Street. Two homes were also hit with gunfire. Police say David Cunningham transported himself to the hospital after being shot. No one has been arrested.

Roanoke, VA- The Roanoke Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on February 22, 2011. Officers responded at 3:50 p.m. to the 1700 block of Dupree Street in reference to a shots fired call. Officers did not locate a victim at the scene, however they did locate damage to two residences. At 4:05 p.m. officers responded to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in reference to a male who transported himself to the hospital after being shot. The investigation revealed that this was the victim from the shots fired call in the 1700 block of Dupree Street. The victim has been identified as David Tyrone Cunningham, age 25 of Roanoke.
