Governor McDonnell is just over one year into office, but he’s already getting peppered with questions regarding a possible Vice-Presidential nomination in 2012. McDonnell appeared on Washington radio station WTOP Wednesday morning, where host Mark Segraves quickly asked if the governor would be interested in the Republican V.P. nomination next year.
McDonnell said he expects only to remain busy as governor, and any such questions are just merely “hypothetical” at this point. McDonnell is the second straight Virginia governor to be mentioned this way. Democrat Tim Kaine was among those President Obama considered as his running mate in 2008.
