Roanoke police have released surveillance photos of a man suspected of holding up the Walgreens at the corner of Williamson and Hershberger roads. It happened about 3:30 a.m. Monday. A store employee told police that the man approached the register with an item for purchase. Police say he then demanded money from the register and threatened to harm the employee. The robber did not display a weapon. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Roanoke police describe the man as a black mail, 5 feet ten inches tall with a thin build. They ask anyone with information to call Crime Line at (540) 344-8500, or the Roanoke Police Department at (540) 853-5959.
