It was a rough Labor Day at the museum. A gutter backed up amid heavy downpours, sending a lot of rainwater into the building. Museum Director Kimberly Parker says repair work to ceilings, walls and floors is just about done, and the hardest-hit gallery should be open again Friday. As for the exhibits themselves, Parker says none were damaged in any way.

The Link Museum is one of many you can visit for free tomorrow if you download an admission pass from the Smithsonian Magazine website. Click here to access their web page.
