It’s been a good year for jobs in Botetourt County, even in challenging economic times: three manufacturers have announced expansions this year, and another started operations. And as News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones reports, there are signs another announcement is coming.

County Supervisors are seeking a special exception permit for about 13 acres at the Greenfield Center north of Daleville, telling the Planning Commission it’s to assist a new industry construct the building it needs. The commission has already approved the permit, and supervisors are expected to follow suit later this month. County Administrator Jerry Burgess says only he hopes to have an economic development announcement shortly.
