The Southwest Virginia Ballet is looking for children seven and up to fill the cast of “The Nutcracker”, and it is holding auditions Sunday afternoon. Executive Director Mike Lawson says dance experience is preferred but not required, and there are plenty of roles to fill.

Weekend rehearsals begin next month, with performances set for December 11th and 12th at the Roanoke Civic Center. The open auditions are Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 at Tanglewood Mall.
