Virginia Democrats hold their state convention in Fairfax tonight and tomorrow, and it appears increasingly clear they will unite around one candidate for governor next year. 400 party leaders and insiders announced yesterday they are supporting Terry McAuliffe, the former Democratic National Committee Chairman.  WFIR’s Evan Jones has the story.

McAuliffe finished second to State Senate Creigh Deeds in the three-way 2009 Democrat party primary for governor. He has not yet announced his candidacy for 2013 but is widely expected to do so.
