This has the potential to be one of the most disruptive hurricanes in years for Virginia. Governor McDonnell says bridges and tunnels in the Hampton Roads area are likely to close down, power will probably go out for many, perhaps for days. And the winds are likely to leave behind another trees and other debris across many roadway. With all that in mind, the Governor is telling people who live there that getting around could get really rough.
National Guard troops are already called up to assist .. so are many state agencies .. even the Department of Forestry .. because they have plenty of people with chainsaws.
