SALEM, Va. – Virginia State Police Trooper M. R. Heath is investigated a fatal crash on October 18, 2015. The crash occurred at 10:47 pm on Fancy Farm Rd (Route 644) one half mile east of Route 43 in Bedford County. A 1998 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling west on Route 644 when it ran off the roadway on the right side, overcorrected then ran off the left side of the roadway, through a fence and overturned. The 1998 Ford was driven by Nancy Louise Jordan of Bedford, Va. Ms. Jordan was flown from the scene. Jeremy Wayne Miller, 29, of Bedford, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. Ms. Jordan and Mr. Miller were not wearing seatbelts. Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to assist. The crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
