Detectives with the Roanoke Police Department arrested two teenagers in connection with multiple commercial robberies throughout Roanoke.
A 16-year-old male and 17-year-old male were arrested on Oct. 23, 2025, after they were found squatting in an old railroad car.
The investigation began after a robbery was reported in the 700 block of Brandon Avenue SW on Oct. 19, 2025. Photos of the suspect were shared on Facebook and through local media, and RPD received numerous tips that led investigators to the railroad car. CRN: 25-214514
The 16-year-old male is charged with the Brandon robbery and another business robbery in the 2000 block of Colonial Avenue SW on Oct. 22, 2025. CRN: 25-214654
The 17-year-old male is charged with two gas station robberies. One in the 800 block of Tazewell Avenue SE on August 30, 2025. CRN: 25-212058 and the other in the 1800 block of Memorial Avenue SW on Oct. 11, 2025. CRN: 25-214130
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
