Organizers of the annual passenger rail excursions from Roanoke can now start thinking about next year. In the four years since they returned, the day trips have taken more than 4,300 people to various destinations and back. This year’s excursions went southwest to Abingdon and Bristol and north to Shenandoah and Luray. WFIR’s Evan Jones has the story.
