The U.S. Forest Service is calling it “The Easter Complex” — the series of fires that ignited last weekend and now burning thousands of acres in our region. Crews are starting to get hold of one of the largest. The latest on that from WFIR’s Evan Jones.

There is little significant progress reported in containing the Rich Hole fire on the Rockbridge/Alleghany County line, but Interstate 64 has been re-opened in both directions between Clifton Forge and Lexington.
