The Botetourt County Sheriff’s office is looking for a thief, and they have released video that may help them identify their suspect. Investigators say someone smashed a car window at the Blue Ridge Elementary School yesterday morning and grabbed several items that included credit cards. Authorities say the man then used those cards to make multiple purchases at the Bonsack Walmart. The suspect is believed to be traveling in a silver or green minivan with a roof cargo rack.

The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office would like help in identifying this person. This incident occurred on Wednesday 29 February 2012 between 8:00AM and 9:00AM. He is believed to have been involved in daylight smash and grab theft from a vehicle parked at a Blue Ridge elementary school. The offender took several items, including credit cards and where he used them in multiple purchases from the Bonsack Wal-Mart. The individual is described as a white male, shaved head, late 30s, heavyset. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, red t-shirt, dark short pants and white tennis shoes. He is believed to be traveling in a silver or green minivan with roof cargo rack.
