The fighting inside Libya is hitting home to a southwest Virginia family which lost a son over the weekend. The story from News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones.

Muhannad Bensadik was born in the U.S., growing up in both this country and Libya. The Martinsville Bulletin reports he attended Magna Vista High School in 9th grade, his mom and two sisters live in the Martinsville area, and his dad co-owns a business there. ABC News reports he was shot to death fighting Moammar Gadhafi’s forces. Muhannad’s father, Osama Bensadik, says on a Twitter audio feed his son turned down the chance to avoid the fighting but chose instead to fight for Libyan freedom. Muhannad Bensadik was 21.
