RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – The AMC television series “TURN: Washington’s Spies” is getting ready to film its final season in Virginia.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe says the fourth and final season of the Revolutionary War-era drama will be shot in the Richmond area. Most of the filming of the first three seasons took place in Richmond and Williamsburg.

“TURN,” which is about the nation’s first spy ring, is based on Alexander Rose’s book “Washington Spies.”

McAuliffe made a cameo appearance on the show earlier this year as Gen. Robert Lawson. McAuliffe, who got through his takes without flubbing his line, joked at the time he should be called “one-take Terry.”

Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maurice Jones says the show’s production in Virginia has had an “immensely positive effect” on the state’s film industry.
