It usually doesn’t happen for another month or so, but the region’s gas prices may have already reached their peak for the year. GasBuddy.com expects gas prices to hold fairly steady through Memorial Day, then ease about five per cent in June. That would mean a drop of about 19 cents a gallon from current levels.
