Virginia Tech officials say they really had no choice but to issue Thursday’s campus alert and continue the lockdown for five hours, even though it was based on a single unconfirmed report. But their actions were based in part of the very painful lessons learned from the mass shootings on campus in April of 2007. More on their decison-making process from News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones.
