It’s a busy time for Virginia emergency workers following Tuesday’s earthquake — and now the impending arrival of Hurricane Irene sometime this weekend. Meetings have been held and plans are in place for the hurricane, mostly involving the eastern part of the state.
The Roanoke Valley is not expected to receive more than some winds and showers from the storm, but you are urged to stay in touch with the local media for updated information.
