The Roanoke Rescue Mission is discussing terms of a merger with Manna Ministries of Vinton – which also distributes food and clothing to those in need… Rescue Mission executive director Joy Sylvester-Johnson says serving the Manna Ministries clientele is a good fit. Sylvester-Johnson also says Manna Ministries was planning to shut down … she’s not sure if those services will move to the Rescue Mission on 4th Street Southeast or remain at the current Vinton location.
