From the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office: In the summer of 2014 there were numerous larcenies from vehicles in the Roanoke Valley. 22 of those larcenies occurred in Botetourt County. The 22 victims reported thefts of firearms, loose change and credits cards from their vehicles. All of these vehicles were unlocked. Through the cooperation and assistance of Roanoke County PD, Salem PD and Roanoke City PD, the suspect, 27 year old Aaron Corey Miller of Roanoke, was identified. On April 15, 2015 Miller was sentenced in the Botetourt County Circuit Court to serve 4 years in jail and given 20 years suspended sentence for the Botetourt County larcenies. He has also been sentenced in Lynchburg and Roanoke City for larcenies in those jurisdictions.
