ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Authorities are investigating the death of a Franklin County man who was found down an embankment in the Glenvar area on July 7.
According to a news release from the Roanoke County Police Department, officers were called to the 5800 block of Peaceful Drive at 5:43 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive man. [1]
The man was identified as Garon Bowles, 42, of Franklin County. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police confirmed his next of kin have been notified.
A preliminary investigation suggests Bowles was likely struck by a vehicle.
Police officials stated there is no danger to the public. The case remains an active investigation, and no additional information has been provided at this time.
