The Mount Pleasant First Aid Crew is no more, disbanding because they no longer had enough volunteers to handle emergency calls. Paid professional staff will now handle all rescue calls in that part of Roanoke County. But Roanoke City still has a volunteer rescue squad, and it’s seeking contributions to pay for a new piece of equipment. News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones has the story.
