On December 3 at 9:20 p.m. Roanoke Police were dispatched to the corner of 1st Street and Kirk Avenue SW to investigate a report of a robbery. Three victims, one man and two women, told officers they had just finished taking out their trash when they were approached by the suspect. The suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at them and demanded money. After taking cash, the suspect ran away on foot heading east on Kirk Avenue. None of the victims were injured. The suspect was described as black male, around 6’4″, thin build, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and had a black bandana covering his face.
