UPDATE: On March 15, 2016 at approximately 8:00am, Adrian Purcell turned himself in at the Reidsville Police Department in North Carolina. 32-year-old Purcell was arrested for 1 st Degree Murder, Robbery, Use of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is currently being held in the Rockingham County Jail without bond. Purcell was the last of four wanted in connection to the death of 20-year-old Damien Anthony Ferrell earlier this month.
From 03/09/16: The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a murder that occurred Tuesday at approximately 12:10am. Police received a call that an individual had been shot at 167 Chadmore Drive Fieldale. The victim, 20-year-old Damien Anthony Ferrell of Fieldale was transported to the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County where he was pronounced dead.
Officials say an argument ensued between Ferrell and 20-year-old Malik Davon Galloway of Collinsville, 19-year-old Kerry Marcel Scales Jr. of Bassett, 18-year-old Sean Demetrus Goddard Jr. of Martinsville and 32-year-old Adrian Lewis Purcell of Reidsville, North Carolina. The argument culminated in Ferrell being shot multiple times.
Galloway, Scales, and Goddard were arrested on Tuesday and are charged with 1 st Degree Murder, Robbery and Use of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. All three are being held in the Henry County Jail without bond. Police are still searching for Purcell, who is wanted for similar charges including possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
