LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) _ Police say a Massachusetts man has died after being hit by a Norfolk Southern train in Virginia. The accident occurred Saturday on a trestle in Lynchburg. Lynchburg police tell media outlets that 21-year-old Jonathan Gregoire of Wilbraham, Massachusetts was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a woman who was with Gregoire, 21-year-old Victoria Bridges of Newport News, suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Norfolk Southern spokesman Robin Chapman tells media outlets that there are no trespassing signs at either end of the trestle. It’s the third fatal accident on the trestle since November 2011.
