Roanoke Mayor Joe Cobb delivered his first State of the City address this morning at the annual Roanoke Regional Chamber breakfast meeting. Cobb noted recent wins in economic development and reducing gun violence, while also recognizing challenges that face the city, including homelessness and affordable housing – supporting that residential zoning change made by City Council last year. That change in single family zoning by Council may be reviewed after some citizen complaints – and several lawsuits now on hold.
