The Craftsmen’s Fall Classic starts today at the Roanoke Civic Center. You don’t have to pay to get in, but one organization sure hopes you’ll bring some canned food.Feeding America Southwest Virginia depends on the classic for food donations. This is the fifth year that people are being asked to bring a non-perishable food item instead of pay an admission fee. Amy Milberger with the food bank says people have donated nearly 100,000 pounds of food over the four previous years. WFIR’s Timothy Martin reports.
