Sheryl CrowIn anticipation of the City of Roanoke’s Welcome to Elmwood Park concert featuring Sheryl Crow on Thursday, July 31, the city would like to provide additional details about the event. Caitlyn Smith begins at 7 p.m. and will play for 30 minutes. Sheryl Crow begins at 8 p.m. and is expected to play for 90 minutes.Ticket holders are encouraged not to line up prior to 2 p.m. at the designated entry points to the park, which will be on Bullitt Avenue at Jefferson Street, and Franklin Road. Gates to the park will open at 4 p.m. Gates to get into the amphitheater will open at 5 p.m. Upon entry, a wristband will be provided. Ticket holders will also be subject to a bag check.

 

Items not allowed into the park:

· No food or beverage (except for unopened bottles of water)

· Coolers

· Chairs/tents/umbrellas

 

Food and beverages including beer will be available for sale inside the park. Food vendors will include On the Rise, Martin’s Downtown, Macado’s, 202 Market, Blues BBQ Co., First & Sixth, and Fork in the Road. Budweiser will provide assortments of beer. Ticket holders over the age of 21 wishing to purchase beer will need to get a wristband at a designated ABC ID checking tent. Beer will be sold through 9 p.m.  Ticket holders are also encouraged to bring cash. ATM’s will not be accessible during the event.

 

No photography of any kind is allowed during the Sheryl Crow performance. This includes “throw away” cameras with or without detachable lenses, video cameras, and especially cell phone cameras. Cell phones are allowed, but the city asks that you abide by the no photography rule.

 

Once inside the park, ticket holders will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.

 

Those wishing to park nearby are encouraged to utilize the many parking options around facility. Parking will be available after 5 p.m. at no charge at the following Park Roanoke locations:

· Elmwood Park Garage, located at 402 Williamson Road

· Elmwood Lot, located at 197 Bullitt Avenue

· Williamson Lot, located at 206 Williamson Road

 

Parking is also available in Market Garage, 25 Church Avenue, after 4 p.m. for a $2.00 flat rate, pay on entry. As a reminder, many people will be coming in and out of the city on the day of the concert for work and other activities. Please allow ample time to park and get to the venue.

 

Elmwood Park is ADA accessible. There will be seating options for handicapped individuals.
