Two people were taken to the hospital following a head on vehicle collision this morning on Stewartsville Road( Route 24) in Bedford County. Authorities say the multi vehicle crash resulted in one patient being taken by helicopter to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and another being rushed to Lynchburg General. VDOT is assisting with a road closure at Stewartsville Road and Amber Lane.
