There are day and night-time lane closures scheduled again this week and next for the Valley View Boulevard interchange project in Roanoke. The right southbound lane of I-581 will be closed between Hershberger Road and Valley View Boulevard from noon today through Saturday and next Monday through Friday. The right and center lanes will be closed each night from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning.

TRAFFIC ALERT: I-581 LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR VALLEY VIEW BOULEVARD PROJECT IN ROANOKE
SALEM – Weather permitting, day and nighttime lane closures are scheduled for the Valley View Boulevard interchange project in Roanoke after Labor Day. Lane closures will take place on southbound I-581 between Hershberger Road and Valley View Boulevard Tuesday, Sept. 2 at noon through Saturday, Sept. 6 and Monday, Sept. 8 through Friday, Sept. 12. A single right lane closure will be in place from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day after Tuesday. A right and center lane closure will be in place each night from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning. This work is part of the I-581/Valley View interchange improvements project.
