It’s been almost a week since Virginia Tech declared a campus alert and lockdown, and the university says it’s already reviewing its response. News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones has the story.
The report of a man with a gun on campus turned got all of Virginia Tech’s emergency systems going, putting all their planning and procedures to the test in a real-time setting — no drill. University Spokesman Mark Owczarski says Tech holds many drills a year — they actually conducted the lastest one the day before the lockdown. But last Thursday’s events offer an unusual opportunity to measure what they plan.
