– One older female treated for smoke inhalation and displaced. Will be staying with family.
– Fire and smoke Damage estimated around $25,000.00
– Cause has been ruled electrical.

March 27, 2016 (ROANOKE COUNTY)–Roanoke County Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched at about 5 a.m. to a reported structure fire in the 5100 block of North Spring Drive in the North Lakes area.
The first firefighters on scene reported a working fire. A search crew immediately entered the house and rescued an older woman who lived in the home.  The woman was transported to a local hospital with what is believed to be non life-threatening injuries.  Crews from the Hollins and Masons Cove stations along with Roanoke city units worked to extinguish the flames and had the fire under control in about 30 minutes
