From Virginia State Police: The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Salem Field office is continuing their investigation into the discovery of a body along interstate 81 at Exit 137 on Tuesday November 4th. With the assistance of the Salem Police Department and the Division of Forensic Science a positive identification was made. The body of Scott K. Cahill, age 43, of Roanoke, Virginia was identified through fingerprints. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is currently waiting for further test results from the Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the investigation.
