Sabrina’s Place says grants and donations, coupled with promises from area localities to fill in any funding shortfall will allow it to remain open. Sabrina’s Place is the supervised visitation and child exchange center in downtown Roanoke. The agency had faced closure after losing federal grand funds unless it could raise $146,000 dollars by the end of this year. Total Action for Progress President Annette Lewis says the community response recognizes the need for Sabrina’s Place to continue – a “Crowdrise” funding campaign has also helped.
