Roanoke’s Solid Waste Manager is about to retire, but he hopes to become a strong advocate for recycling in places far removed from the Star City. Skip Decker will serve as a volunteer at various national parks and monuments. Decker retires this coming Friday after working for the city for 18 years. He spoke with WFIR’s Evan Jones.
