“Open Talent Express Yourself” kicks off this Saturday at the Melrose Library.  News/Talk 960’s Timothy Martin reports.

News release from City of Roanoke:

Roanoke, VA – Roanoke Public Libraries is pleased to announce the
first of an occasional neighborhood based local talent shout out,
“Open Talent Express Yourself”. The first venue is at Melrose
Library, Saturday, February 26, 3:30 – 5 p.m. 2607 Salem Turnpike,
Roanoke, VA 24017.

This event is designed to give folks from the neighborhood where the
show is based an opportunity to represent their neighborhood and show
what they’ve got. It can be music, poetry, performance, dance,
anything really (but keep it family friendly please).

A sound system is provided and each talent has up to 5 minutes on
stage.

Participants must register in advance of the event at Melrose Library
540-853-2648. Please also contact Melrose Library with any questions
and for more information.

All ages are invited to participate but space is limited.

Win the neighborhood trophy then represent your neighborhood at the
next location of Open Talent Express Yourself to try and retain the
trophy for your neighborhood.
