Joseph Swain
From Henry County Sheriff’s Office: The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for Joseph David Swain, 33, of 760 Mica Road Ridgeway, Virginia. Swain was incarcerated on June 5, 2015 for felony Probation Violation and misdemeanor Failure to Appear. He was placed on the Electronic Incarceration Program (EIP) on July 9, 2015. Swain has been on EIP for 9 months and there have not been any issues during this time. Until this incident, Swain has complied with all orders and instructions by EIP personnel.
While an individual is on EIP, he is required to stay at his residence or attend authorized activities such as work, school, etc. On March 29, 2016 at approximately 9:31pm, Swain cut the ankle bracelet off and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Swain is not believed to be a threat to the public. It is unknown at this time why he removed the ankle bracelet.
