A Roanoke County grand jury meets today, and its case list includes the abduction charge against Jeffrey Easley. What’s not clear is whether prosecutors might seek a murder indictment at the same time. The story from News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones .

Roanoke County Commonwealth’s Attorney Randy Leach says the abduction charge remains scheduled for grand jury action today. Leach has the option to present other charges before the panel at the same time, but he does not say whether he intends to do so.
Court-appointed defense attorney Thomas Roe says the public has only heard one version of events so far, and Easley looks forward to presenting his account when the case comes to court.
