wfir-linkJoshua Dean Nash has worked with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office since March 2011, he was terminated on Sunday. Nash is accused of shooting 60-year-old Eric Eysenbach Sunday morning in the Snow Creek area of Franklin County. Eysenbach suffered a non-life threatening injury. Nash was off-duty when the shooting occurred. He’s being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail on charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. In a news release Sheriff Lane Perry said, “The incident was totally out of character for Deputy Nash and was a shock to us as well, as he had an exemplary record and was an outstanding deputy regularly receiving complements.” The shooting is being investigated by state police.
