Angels of Assisi is hosting a walk-in Heartworm Clinic to help dogs get tested and started on monthly prevention. Heartworms are carried by mosquitoes and can circulate in a dog’s bloodstream, mature, multiply and eventually block the blood flow to the heart and lungs. If not treated, heartworm can be fatal. The Heartworm Clinic is this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no exam fee and discounts on testing and monthly prevention.
