Roanoke Railhouse Brewing Company started shipping its craft brews in January of 2009. President Steve Davidson says it hasn’t always been easy since, but they’ve overcome the challenges encountered. The beers now sell as far away as Richmond and Raleigh. Davidson says they can now produce more in one week than they could in a month at startup.
And just in time for this weekend’s Microfestivus in Elmwood Park, Roanoke Railhouse is unveiling a third full-time line: Indian Pale Ale. Davidson expects to open a tasting and sales room at the McClanahan Avenue brewery by next month.
