Roanoke Police say a passerby found a man’s body in a parking lot in the 5200 block of Williamson Road earlier today. Police say the death doesn’t appear to be criminal in nature. The department has not released the man’s identity.

Roanoke Police Officers responded on January 31, 2012, at 1:19 p.m. to the 5200 block of Williamson Road. Upon arrival they located the body of a male in a parking lot behind a business in the 5200 block of Williamson Road. At this point in the investigation the death does not appear to be criminal in nature. The individual’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
