The Roanoke City Libraries worker who performed a stip-tease during a fund-raiser claims the city is now retaliating with negative job evaluations and job restrictions, and he wants a judge to look into the case. It’s the striptease in February of last year that led the ABC Board to order a temporary liquor license suspension of 202 Market. River Laker says it was an exercise of free speech, protesting the “Valentini” fund raiser which he says demeaned people. WFIR’s Evan Jones has the story.

Acting City Attorney Timothy Spencer says he cannot comment because it involves both a personnel matter and pending litigation.
