It’s become an annual event — a weekend of passenger train excursions out of Roanoke each fall. They are scheduled this year on November 5th and 6th and serve as an important fund-raiser for the National Railway Historical Society’s Roanoke Chapter.
The Saturday trip is a new destination, taking riders to Abingdon and back. Then on Sunday, it’s back to what’s become a perennial favorite — Bluefield.
