Hot weather, illness and equipment failures have hindered solid waste crews and caused delays in areas of the city. According to Roanoke’s Solid Waste Manager, Skip Decker, the problems have kept the crews from staying on schedule in various neighborhoods. Decker says work will continue to pick up solid waste for the rest of this week.
