North Cross School is hosting an open community event for local leaders in education to discuss the future of education for the community. The “Education 2025” forum will be led by Roanoke native and TED speaker, Katherine Fulton, and will include panelists Dr. Rita Bishop, Superintendent of Roanoke City Public Schools; Dr. Robert Sandel, President of Virginia Western Community College; and Dr. Christopher Howard, President of Hampden-Sydney College. Topics of discussion at the “Education: 2025” event will include items such as the future of a liberal arts education, how technology will continue to change the way we teach and learn, and the impact globalization will have in our schools. “Education: 2025” will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, in Fishburn Auditorium on the campus of North Cross School. The event is free and open to the public.
