Roanoke police are looking for a credit card thief. Police say someone stole a credit card from an unlocked vehicle on May 4th. They’ve released a store surveillance photo of a man they suspect of using the stolen credit card to make a number of purchases.
NEWS RELEASE FROM ROANOKE CITY POLICE
On May 7, 2014 at approximately 6:45 a.m., a Roanoke Police Officer was
called to the 2600 block of Edgewood Street SW to investigate a report of
purchases made on a stolen credit card. The investigation revealed the
victim left the doors to their vehicle unlocked some time on May 4th and a
credit card was stolen. The suspect, seen in the attached photo, made
multiple purchases using the victim’s credit card on May 5th. The suspect
is described as being in his late teens to early twenties, between 5’9″ and
5’11”, and approximately 170 lbs. The suspect may be involved in other
theft from vehicle cases. If you can help officers identify the suspect,
