Forestry experts say it’s now clearer that ever: the spread of a destructive tree insect appears inevitable across Virginia, and many ash trees are sure to fall victim. The Emerald Ash Borer is a green beetle from Asia blamed for killing tens of millions of ash trees in more than a dozen U.S. states, and now sighted around here as close as Giles County.
