ROANOKE, Va. – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs revealed a new logo and jerseys Tuesday night at the Berglund Center, marking a fresh look for the team as it heads into its 10th anniversary season this fall.
A large crowd of fans attended the event to see the updated branding, which features a more modern and clean design while retaining iconic symbols of the team’s identity. The new look was developed by Fooser Sports Design.
A Nod to Roanoke’s Heritage
The refreshed logos continue to incorporate the well-known Roanoke star and elements celebrating the region’s deep railroad history, ensuring a connection to the team’s roots. Jamie McGinn, principal owner and chairman of Breakaway Sports & Entertainment, addressed the attendees, speaking about the importance of the upcoming milestone season and the franchise’s updated identity.
The unveiling showcased the new jerseys and other merchandise, signaling a new chapter for the Southern Professional Hockey League team. The strong turnout was highlighted by the organization as a sign of the community’s dedicated support.
Looking Ahead to the Puck Drop
The Rail Yard Dawgs will begin their 10th season at home on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:05 p.m. The opening night is sponsored by Haley Toyota of Roanoke.
According to the team’s announcement, season tickets and other ticket packages are currently available for purchase through the Rail Yard Dawgs front office. Fans looking for single-game tickets and parking passes can purchase them starting Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Berglund Center box office and online.
